Christina Hornbach

Christina M. Hornbach is assistant professor of music and head of music education at Hope College. Prior to joining the Hope faculty, she served on the faculty of Eastern Michigan University. She received a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Music from the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor), and a Doctor of Philosophy from Michigan State University (East Lansing). Hornbach specializes in early childhood and elementary general music methods and materials, research, and the psychology of music. She has taught general music in the public schools in Michigan and Minnesota as well as early childhood music at Michigan State University's Community Music School and Eastern Michigan University's Community Music Academy. Hornbach has presented workshops at the state, regional, and national MENC In-Service Conferences, as well as local and international venues. She has co-authored an article in the Journal of Research in Music Education.
