Before joining her alma mater, Michigan State University, in 2005, Kathleen worked in institutional marketing at Grand Valley State University for 10 years—first as staff writer/editor and later as university publications manager. In addition, she spent eight years in Grand Rapids, Michigan, working in the nonprofit arena in development and public relations. As a member of the communications team in MSU’s College of Music, she is responsible for managing event publicity and related media relations, marketing, and advertising as well as the promotion of faculty news and achievements.
