Profile:
Shawn joined the College of Music staff in the summer of 2001. Prior to her employment at the College of Music, Shawn worked in both the Department of Art and Art History and the College of Arts and Letters at Michigan State University. Shawn earned her bachelor’s degree in English from MSU in the summer of 1997 and recently earned an associate’s degree in photographic imaging from Lansing Community College in the spring of 2009.
As the assistant to James Forger, dean of the College of Music, Shawn manages the faculty reappointment/promotion/tenure process, distributes and collects Faculty Information Forms used in the annual review process, manages the faculty travel and visiting artist/lecturer proposal process, and manages the search process for new faculty and academic staff positions in the College.
