Profile:
Viki Gietzel joined the College of Music staff as the assistant director of admissions in October of 2002. Prior to this position Viki worked in MSU’s Department of Art and with the College of Music as a temporary employee, dividing her time between the Admissions Office and the Community Music School. Viki earned her bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Management from Northwood University in 2001.
Viki assists the director of admissions with developing and overseeing the operational and administrative functions of College of Music admissions process. She also maintains all admission files and records, provides information and reports for administrators, faculty, and staff, collaborates with University Admissions and other units to facilitate an efficient admissions process, and meets with prospective students and parents. Viki is responsible for all of the day-to-day operations of the Music Admissions Office. She is also responsible for distributing and reconciling endowment scholarships and corresponding with appropriate music faculty and students.
